Cathy Sanchez – Nobis Montessori Director

Hello, my name is Cathy. For over 21 years, I have been part of the Montessori
community, teaching Spanish, preschool, and as a program coordinator. I am excited
about my new role as Director of Nobis Montessori. I hold a Montessori certification,
which deepens my commitment to fostering a child-centered, hands-on learning
environment. My belief in Montessori education stems from its ability to nurture
independent and confident learners. I strive to work closely with families and staff to
meet the unique needs of each child. I love the children and families that I serve, which
is why my goal is to build a community where everyone feels at home.
I am married with four children. I enjoy spending time with family and I love dancing.

Hello, my name is Melinda. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your family! I am
honored to be the Regional Director for Nobis Preschool in Costa Mesa and Dana Point,
and Nobis Montessori. I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 25
years. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Child Development and Family Studies. I have experience working in
corporate childcare as a two’s teacher for six years and as a lead teacher for a private
school. For about three years, I worked as a preschool director for an educational
company. I have been the Director at the Costa Mesa site for three years and I am
looking forward to many more years with the Nobis families. “Children are our future,
there is no greater way to invest in the future then investing in our children.”
I reside in Long Beach with my husband, Louie, and our dogs, Lilly and Coco along with
our cat, Bianca. We have an adult daughter named Sydnee and son named Elijah. I
enjoy biking on my cruiser trike, baking, gardening and spending time with family and
friends. My favorite place to travel to every year is Hawaii, visiting three of the islands so
far. The simple things in life make me happy.
